Welcome

Welcome.

This is the blogsite for the From A Beach Somewhere ebook.

This ebook looks at strategies for making serious financial leaps ahead using the share market. It is not a "How To" book, it is a "How I did it and how I am continuing to do it" book, and this blog forms a part of the book.

The From A Beach Somewhere blog will show you exactly what I am doing on the share market and exactly when. I will tell you why I am making each trading decision, along with when I buy, and when I sell.

From A Beach Somewhere is NOT a financial advice blog because I am NOT a financial adviser. This is my experience, my learnings, my discoveries. It could also be yours.

You can read and learn and even copy. You see, there are some very simple principles at play here:
1. You don't need a lot of money to get started on building your wealth

2. You don't need to pay a lot for advice
3. The risk is ALWAYS yours, so even if you pay for advice don't follow it blindly, do your own research
4. The world is changing and changing fast - you may end up knowing more about market dynamics than your financial adviser
5. Just like a doctor, a financial adviser cannot hope to know everything. By specialising, you may get a depth of knowledge that a financial adviser cannot hope to match because they have to be very general. If someone gets really sick, they may do a lot of very specific research, investigating all the latest information and medical trials, along with different cures and disease management regimes. With diligence and good study, you will surpass your GP's knowledge of your illness and thus be able to give them a better understanding of a treatment programme that is appropriate to you. The same can happen with From A Beach Somewhere
6. Honesty and trust are key elements. I will always be honest in my dealings with you - guaranteed.
7. Transparency is another key element. I get no kickbacks from anyone or from any organisation. Yes, I make money from trading, but I am making that from my decision and my risk, not because I sold a database or advertising space or because some organisation is paying me a commission or a consideration.

Basically it all boils down to this: I am committed to increasing my personal wealth through buying and selling shares on the stock market (trading) and NOT through trading you or your identity.

I am, at the same time, teaching my young daughter how to do exactly the same thing so that when she finishes high school she will have a nest egg to set herself up with.

From A Beach Somewhere is not just a title, it is an aspiration, a goal.

So welcome.

The next post will be announcing the launch of the From A Beach Somewhere ebook. After that, we will get into specific share purchases and sales.

A Couple of Updates

Well, it's Monday morning and the week has started with a bang. First, PFE announced that there was an unexpected problem with their test drill and they have had to abandon that and go to a new test drill site. A delay, but no real issue apart from that. And the market hated that. Good news for those wanting to buy, not so good for existing holders. IMC released their AGM presentation which indicates that there will be some news in December and then a very busy (and hopefully productive) 2025. Sales are good and continuing to get better and better.

2025 - an early start

Ok., so here we go on my Trump-era goal. Just bought MXR (yes, on the ASX). AAR wants to take them over at 7 cents as a scrip payment (paying in AAR shares instead of cash). The current share price is 6.3 cents. So that should be a quick 10% gain. However... this does look like a lowball offer and may yet be increased. MXR has great assets and AAR already owns almost 20% of MXR. So AAR is committed to a deal and that may just attract other attention. It looks like a no-brainer to start 2025. Yes, there is always some risk, but this one looks pretty good. I have done a bit more research and have some exciting thoughts, including one that looks a little like another WGO (which returned handsomely on a takeover). More news coming as I do more reseach.  Another one that looks good for a quick profit is GES, but as I write this, there are no shares at the right price (.05).

Out of 2

I ahd some bills to pay and these 2 got the chop: PFE - such promise, such disappointmen IMC - I always had some ethical problems with this one.  But there it is. Bills paid, and a little left over to find something new with.
