My teenaged daughter has got herself a part-time job and I gave her some advice about what to do with her pay. Yhis advice was, quite naturally, ignored. We simply don't learn good financial habits overnight. So I gave her something she could understand. I broke goal-setting down to Footy.
It's quite simple: If you don't know where the goal is you might as well kick the ball anywhere.
And as I was saying this I realised that the same applies to investing. Have a goal and always know what that goal is.
BUT... don't forget to reward yourself.
