You will often hear aboout them, companies that list and immediately go stratspheric, giving those who got in on Day One a massive return.
Wouldn't it be nice if you knew what new company listings were coming up on the ASX?
Here's nice. You can find that out very easily. Just go to the ASX website (asx.com.au). A,ong the top of the page are some categories. Click on LISTINGS. And there, under the DIRECTORIES heading your will find UPCOMING LISTINGS.
Click on that and you will go to an A-Z of what's listing soon. Each listing will give a bit of information and direct you to where you can get more (usually a company website).
For example:
D3 Energy (ASX: D3E) will list at 11am on the 13th of May 2024. They have 50,000,000 shares on offer at 20 cents each. They are a natural gas and helium explorer.
The first 13 pages of their prospectus cn be skipped through, although I note that I have been a shareholder in a company associated with one of the directors before. That gives me some extra knowledge. It is important to note that this is an exploration company and they are listing to get the money they need to explore (and this is a very expensive activity) and to acquire the last bit of a South African company that they are already the majority shareholder in.
Will their share price hold? Personally I don't think so. And if I wanted to get into D3E I would wait to see where the share price ends (in this case) because I think it is going to drop significantly. This is a highly speculative company which makes getting in on Day One outside my risk profile.
But let's check back on 15 May to see how they went.
