Despite me saying that there was a good profit-taking opportunity with DTR about a month ago (and there was), the company remains, in my opinion, a good long-termer.
Right now the share prices is 0.5 cents, and many see that as a high risk buy. And it is (let's get real). But it's also very heap.
So if you adopt the "add 20% to the price and then sell" approach, these shares are a great opportunity to do that quite quickly. However, tehre is something else to look at with DTR...
Their corporate presentation (released on July 24 2024) has lots of interesting data, but page 12 (since retracted after instruction from the ASX) lists some timeframes that give a clearer overall picture. Ther will be a little bit of news this year in the form of a resource update, and that is expected to grow by almost 50%.
That's one catalyst for a share price increase, especially with the price of gold being as high as it currently is. And it (coincidentally) will clash with the USA Presidential elections, so eyes may be elsewhere, giving investors some real opportunities (not just in DTR).
Then there are a couple of forward dates for msjor improvements and steps forward, and these start at 2 years out.
So, for me, this is a "just let things happen" situation because I believe that the results (in terms of a share price) will be exponential.
Right now, a million shares will cost $5-6,000. In 2 years? Who knows. I thiink (and this is only my opinion) that if al goes to plan, the shares will double by Christmas 2024 and double again 2 years later.
Now that's not a bad return.
What about the options? Yes, a bunch of options came onto the market with the last cash-raising and they are selling. I think they will increase in value with the updated resource estimate.
But, of course, this is second-guessing the market, and that is where the risk (and the fun) lies.
As always, do your own research and always remember that it is your money. Don't just place it somewhere because you heard a good tip. Do some digging and make sure you can explain to your significant other why your money is sitting where it is.
And, as usual, I wish you luck in your investing future.
