BMM

A colleague asked me to have a look at Bayan Mining and Minerals (ASX: BMM) and what I found really surprised me (and it wasn't about BMM).

First to BMM. Yes, they are in the REE space. Yes, they have the right ground. Yes, they look to have a good chance of having really good results with REEs. To my mind, their share price is too high, but I also don't think the market is going to let it drop any time soon. BMM is firmly part of the REE bubble that is expanding.

When is their next big jump? If I were to get into BMM, I would do it now, ahead of their permitting through the Bureau of Land Management. And that is anticipated in October/November. Early exploration assays are also due in October, so it's a great time to get in. Just be aware that all they have done is a little testing and staking a claim. The claim approvals (permitting) is what the BLM is considering right now. It is unlikely, given the current political environment, that the applications will be denied.

Just be aware that BMM acknowledges that it will need substantial funding going forward. What form that will take is unknown, but I am sure they will explore all options and also try for a Government grant or loan. The first couple os avenues to be explored are liked to be cash raisings through the sale of new shares. And this often makes investors uneasy, even though it may be a good thing. With only 134 million shares available, I can see that number increasing substantially through cash raisings and option conversions.

When should you get out? Well, that's up to you and your own strategy. My advice, make the decision on the science and the business activity. Don't let greed become a factor.

And here's the thing (for me, the surprising thing): BMM releaesed an announcement on 22/09 about their operations and at the top of Page 2 they referenced Colosseum Mine (belonging to Dateline Resources - ASX: DTR; OTCQB: DTREF: FSE: YE1). The mine gets referenced again (along with Mountain Pass mine, again) at the top of page 7 where BMM makes claims about a "significant minerals corridor". MP and DTR are again referenced at the bottom of that page when talking about the geolocical fault system.

Why is this important? For BMM, it solidly plants them on the planet and shows that they think they are in the right place at the (almost) right time. Time and assay results will tell. There is a lot of money to be spent as BMM goes forward.

For Mountain Pass it is just another validation of their position, and good results for BMM extends the life of the MP mine and processing centre.

For Dateline, this is huge. A company is only going to reference industry leaders, and to do so multiple times in the one report shows what the industry thinks of DTR's activities. This is seriously good news on the DTR front as all BMM investors (well, those who read announcements - and you should always read the announcements of the companies you are invested in) are now aware of DTR. And many will have looked hard at Dateline as a consequence.

DTR's reputation grows. Thank you, BMM.

A Couple of Updates

Well, it's Monday morning and the week has started with a bang. First, PFE announced that there was an unexpected problem with their test drill and they have had to abandon that and go to a new test drill site. A delay, but no real issue apart from that. And the market hated that. Good news for those wanting to buy, not so good for existing holders. IMC released their AGM presentation which indicates that there will be some news in December and then a very busy (and hopefully productive) 2025. Sales are good and continuing to get better and better.

2025 - an early start

Ok., so here we go on my Trump-era goal. Just bought MXR (yes, on the ASX). AAR wants to take them over at 7 cents as a scrip payment (paying in AAR shares instead of cash). The current share price is 6.3 cents. So that should be a quick 10% gain. However... this does look like a lowball offer and may yet be increased. MXR has great assets and AAR already owns almost 20% of MXR. So AAR is committed to a deal and that may just attract other attention. It looks like a no-brainer to start 2025. Yes, there is always some risk, but this one looks pretty good. I have done a bit more research and have some exciting thoughts, including one that looks a little like another WGO (which returned handsomely on a takeover). More news coming as I do more reseach.  Another one that looks good for a quick profit is GES, but as I write this, there are no shares at the right price (.05).

Out of 2

I ahd some bills to pay and these 2 got the chop: PFE - such promise, such disappointmen IMC - I always had some ethical problems with this one.  But there it is. Bills paid, and a little left over to find something new with.
